Saturday, October 31st marked a day for the history books in Old Orchard Beach. For the first time in nearly 20 years a baseball game was played on the newly renovated field. Local high school players from all over Southern Maine joined forces to form two teams and came out to play in front of an enthusiastic group of fans.
Lucien Huot returned to sing the National Anthem, just as he did for the Maine Guides games. Tom LaChance, the major drive behind the whole renovation project, watched proudly as his son Isaac threw out the first pitch.
In the stands were parents, friends and local citizens thrilled to once again be watching baseball at the Ballpark.
